WHEN I’M 64 …

Completed drawing before slicing

February 1st 2025 was my 64th Birthday. I celebrated by making my largest ever drawing (122cm diameter) using pens or pencils that had been gifted to me by 64 invited friends, and family.

Completed 25 March 2025 - 416 lines - 70 hours 52 minutes.

The drawing was then divided into 65 slices* for display as part of my solo exhibition at the Alison Richard Building in Cambridge (April - August) . Over the course of 2026 the slices are being delivered as gifts to each donor in grateful reciprocity.

*The first ever Admitting the Possibilities of Error drawing was made using blue biro on a pizza base.

“The thing given is not inert, it is alive and it animates the person who receives it.

The spirit of the thing given seeks its origin”
