In March 2024 I will be in-residence at Torbay Hospital’s Surgical Theatre Department working on a commissioned drawing created using fluids and inks used in surgery. I will also be taking part in a workshop for Theatre Staff led by Otorhinolaryngologist, David Alderson. These are some of the preliminary tests exploring options for the design for the commissioned drawing. The paper has been dipped in either Chlorhexidene (with Prevase Stain) or Videne or a combination of both. These fluids also used as inks along with Methylene Blue which is used by surgeons to mark the skin prior to surgery.
