WHEN I’M 64 …
2025 marks two anniversaries : Ten years since I made the largest ‘Admitting the Possibilities of Error’ drawing I have ever made at Performance Arcade in Wellington, New Zealand. The pens and pencils that I used were given (or loaned) to me by passers-by who were drawn in to engage. It was my 64th birthday on February 1st 2025.
With a nod to the Beatles song ‘When I’m 64’, I am celebrating with a new large drawing using 64 pens or pencils that have been gifted to me.
Completed 25 March 2025 - 416 lines - 70 hours 52 minutes.
Following my solo exhibition at the Alison Richard Building in Cambridge (April - August) it will be divided into 64 slices* which I will subsequently gift to each donor in grateful reciprocity.
